What is Al-Anon Information Services (AISs)

An Al-Anon Information Service (sometimes called an Intergroup) is a local service established and maintained by one or more districts, or by groups located close enough to each other for easy communication. An AIS maintains a local telephone listing and has a P.O. Box or office address. It also conducts activities in addition to Twelfth Step telephone calls, such as working with local Al-Anon/Alateen service committees and publishing a local meeting list. An AIS may also be registered as a Literature Distribution Center (LDC).
